Senderos del Rocío

Which route to choose?

Which Rocío pilgrim route should you walk?

Five routes lead to the village, from one day to four. Choose by the time you have, how you will travel and the side of Doñana you want to see.

It's my first time or I only have one day

The two shortest routes, about 15 km from Almonte: flat, one day long and also fine by bike.

I have a weekend

About 41 km over two days, almost entirely inside Doñana, along the riverside forest of La Rocina.

I want the full experience

The busiest route: 3 to 4 days, with the Vado del Quema ford and the Raya Real.

I'm after the wildest Doñana

It crosses the Guadalquivir by barge from Sanlúcar and runs for three days almost without tarmac.

I'm going by bike

These routes allow bicycles. Seville and Cádiz can only be done on foot or on horseback.

I want to go outside the pilgrimage

They follow freely accessible trails and drove roads. Seville and Cádiz cross the Doñana reserve: outside the pilgrimage, only on an authorised guided visit.
